Area’s 12th Largest Employer Honors Employees, Grants $20,000 to Community Partners
YORK, PA — MAY 30, 2019 — Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), a global provider of housing and lifestyle solutions that support, protect and connect major consumer purchases, and one of the largest employers in York County, Pennsylvania, today celebrated the 20th anniversary of its mobile device repair and logistics operations in York.
To commemorate the event, the Assurant Foundation honored its nearly 1,500 employees in York by making charitable donations to four community partners. Four $5,000 grants were made to the York County Food Bank, Junior Achievement of South-Central Pennsylvania, Crispus Attucks Community Center and scholarship support to Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.

Starting operations in 1999, Assurant’s state-of-the art facilities have continually expanded to now encompass sizable locations on Willow Springs Lane and Sandhurst Drive. The Assurant York facility has processed more than 24 million mobile devices in the last three years alone, providing repair, refurbishment and logistics services for major wireless providers and manufacturers in the U.S.

Facility Celebration
Assurant will be hosting a celebratory event for employees on May 30, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m., at the company’s facility located at 3640 Sandhurst Drive in York, Pennsylvania.
