Deborah Wilson, Kristen Stewart and Lin Bennett of Assurant’s Talent Acquisition team celebrate the CandE award, which honors organizations that demonstrate best practices in recruiting and success in hiring top candidates.

Assurant’s skill in providing an excellent candidate experience was spotlighted when the Assurant Talent Acquisition team recently received a 2014 North American CandE Award in Chicago for the candidate experience at Assurant Specialty Property. The CandE honors organizations that demonstrate best practices in recruiting and success in hiring top candidates.

“We know that great companies start with great people, and that’s what we strive to bring to Assurant every day,” said Deborah Wilson, vice president, Talent Acquisition at Assurant. “This award recognizes corporations that meet a true standard of excellence in their talent acquisition process, and the entire Assurant TA team deserves the credit. They all combine to create a great experience for our candidates on a day-to-day basis.”

Winners are selected by the Talent Board, a non-profit organization that established the CandEs four years ago. The Talent Board completes its own comprehensive, confidential survey of each employer’s 2014 employment candidates, which totaled more than 95,000 responses.  This year approximately 170 organizations were considered for the award.

“When companies deliver a positive experience, they continue to foster quality relationships with those individuals as job candidates and consumers – not to mention the network of people who will likely hear about that experience. The 2014 CandE Award winners understand the impact that their technologies, processes and people have on candidates throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle. They are leading the pack to help organizations across the globe build a business case for great candidate experience and implement practices that will deliver it. Talent Board is honored to recognize another class of exceptional organizations,” said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function
