The API-based solution enables seamless tracking of homeowners insurance with Nationwide’s policyholders and Assurant

NEW YORK, April 19, 2022 — Assurant, Inc. (NYSE: AIZ), a leading global business services company that supports, protects and connects major consumer purchases, and insurance and financial services leader Nationwide, announced the integration of Nationwide’s Insurance Verification Digital Product into Assurant’s patent-pending HOIVerify^SM tracking solution. This integration will allow homeowners with Nationwide insurance policies to have their policy details confirmed securely and conveniently.

Nationwide’s Insurance Verification Digital Product, developed in 2021, is a collection of APIs that first confirm whether a customer is a Nationwide member and then enables insurance details to be verified in seconds.

Assurant estimates that HOIVerify^SM’s transformative technology can eliminate 27 million sheets of paper, saving 2,250 trees, 70 million gallons of water and 459 million watts of energy annually, based on 2021 figures.
