Subhashish Sengupta

Subhashish Sengupta is executive vice president, chief people officer (CPO) of Assurant and a member of the management committee. In this role, Mr. Sengupta leads global talent and culture strategies, unlocking the potential of Assurant’s people to deliver exceptional business performance. A skilled business leader with deep expertise in human capital management, Mr. Sengupta is committed to creating an inclusive culture that empowers employees to learn, thrive and be their best.

Since joining Assurant in 2015 as senior vice president of Global Human Resources for Assurant Solutions and member of the company’s international business board, Mr. Sengupta has led a global people organization focused on growth and value creation. His team has delivered award-winning work leveraging data, process, best-in-class talent and technology, including an AI-driven omnichannel employee experience solution. He also served on Assurant’s digital advisory board.

Prior to Assurant, Mr. Sengupta was part of the leadership team for KKR’s portfolio of innovation and technology companies, serving as global head of Learning & Leadership Development and head of HR for the Americas and Europe. He spent over a decade at GE and brings global perspectives, having lived and worked across Asia, Europe and the Americas, and a blend of cross functional experiences spanning operations, Lean, Six Sigma and human resources.

Mr. Sengupta earned a bachelor of commerce with honors from the University of Delhi and a master of business administration in human resources from XISS, India.

He is also deeply committed to the community, having founded the Atlanta chapter of GE Capital International Services’ volunteer program and supporting organizations such as the National Children’s Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and the Atlanta Women’s Foundation.
