Ms. Blake was elected to Assurant’s board of directors in January 2026. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Global Equity Beta Solutions (GEBS) at State Street Investment Management. Over a distinguished 30‑year career with the firm, she held roles of increasing responsibility across portfolio management, smart beta and global equity strategies, and asset stewardship. From 2011 to 2021, Ms. Blake led GEBS and transformed it to an industry leader, overseeing a global team responsible for systematic equity beta approaches, as well as the firm’s Asset Stewardship team, and ESG research and data management functions.
Earlier in her tenure, she played a foundational role in developing and managing some of the earliest index funds in the industry and led State Street’s Non‑U.S. Equity Index and Smart Beta Solutions business. Ms. Blake currently serves on the Boards of Directors of United Natural Foods, Inc. and WisdomTree, Inc. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and has earned a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certification as well as an NACD Certificate in Cyber‑Risk Oversight.
