Keith R. Meier

Keith Meier is executive vice president, chief financial officer (CFO) of Assurant and a member of the management committee. As CFO, Mr. Meier oversees Assurant’s Global Finance Organization. He focuses on delivering strong financial performance, optimizing client program results, and driving growth and value creation.   

Previously, Mr. Meier served as chief operating officer, leading global technology and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences with greater agility, speed and differentiation in the marketplace. Before that, he was executive vice president and president of International, responsible for the expansion and profitable growth of Assurant’s global operations, including the P&L of all product lines outside of the U.S. across 21 countries in Asia-Pacific, Canada, Europe and Latin America. 

Mr. Meier has also served as senior vice president, Global Strategy and M&A, president of Emerging Markets, and senior vice president of Extended Protection Solutions, responsible for consumer products and vehicle service contracts. He has held multiple senior roles since joining Assurant in 1998. 

Prior to Assurant, Mr. Meier worked at Price Waterhouse LLP in Miami, specializing in insurance and large corporate accounts. 

He is active with the United Way, where he has served on the Greater Atlanta United Way advisory board and launched Promising Pathways, a charitable organization supporting disadvantaged children in the U.S. 

Mr. Meier holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University and a master’s degree from Florida International University.
