Subhashish Sengupta is chief people officer of Assurant, Inc. and is a member of the Company’s Management Committee. As chief people officer, he is focused on developing the Company’s global talent and culture strategies and unlocking the potential of its people around the world to deliver exceptional business performance. A skilled business leader with deep expertise in human capital management, Mr. Sengupta is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture that puts people first, and enables them to learn, thrive, and be their best.

Mr. Sengupta joined Assurant in 2015 as senior vice president, global human resources of Assurant Solutions, and member of the Company’s International Business Board. Under his leadership, the global people organization has focused on business growth and a value creation mindset, delivering award-winning work around the world leveraging data, process, best-in-class talent, and technology, including introduction of a consumer-grade experience for employees via an AI-driven omnichannel employee experience solution. He has also been a member of the Digital Advisory Board for Assurant.

Prior to Assurant, Mr. Sengupta served as a member of the Leadership Team for KKR’s portfolio of innovation and technology companies, where he was the global head of Learning & Leadership Development and head of HR for the Americas and Europe. Prior to that he spent more than a decade with GE. Mr. Sengupta brings diverse global perspectives having lived and worked across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and a blend of cross functional experiences spanning operations, Lean, Six Sigma & human resources.

Mr. Sengupta earned a Bachelor of Commerce with honors from University of Delhi and an MBA in Human Resources from XISS, India.

Besides dedication to his career, Mr. Sengupta is also committed to his community. He was the founding member of the Atlanta chapter for GE Capital International Services’ community service program. He continues his support today for organizations such as National Children’s Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity, Atlanta Women’s Foundation and multiple other personal commitments to women’s education and community service.
