Assurant Foundation
The Assurant Foundation provides financial assistance to charitable organizations to help improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work.

For thirty years, the Assurant Foundation has served as an important resource for nonprofit organizations. The Assurant Foundation is expanding its reach with new charitable grants and a new employee matching gifts program, which will supplement diverse volunteer opportunities. All charitable giving focuses in three areas: health and wellness, homes and property and local hometown help in the communities Assurant serves.

Assurant's Giving Philosophy reinforces the values of the Company through the Assurant Foundation. In everything we do, we remember that people count on Assurant.

  • Assurant Employee Matching Gifts Program provides all eligible U.S. Assurant employees the opportunity to request a dollar-for-dollar match for their personal contributions to qualifying charitable organizations. The program is administered through the Assurant Foundation, which matches each gift of $25 or more, up to a total of $1,000 per employee during the calendar year.

  • Direct Charitable Grants are made in support of charities in Assurant local communities that provide health and home services to those in need. Beginning in 2012, the Assurant Foundation will no longer accept grant requests directly from charities. Charitable grants will be awarded based on review by Assurant.

  • The United Way Campaign is an annual event where Assurant employees across the enterprise come together to raise money for United Way chapters and affiliate charities in North America. Employees participate in fundraising activities to increase donations to the United Way, reinforce community spirit and help fulfill the nonprofit organization's goal of advancing the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all.
